Objectives:

  1. To recognize and use the Simple Past Tense.

  2. To recognize typical contexts which use the Simple Past Tense.
Teaching procedures: Ⅰ. Greetings Ⅱ. Draw the following time table on the blackboard and tell the students the difference among the Simple Present Tense, the Present Continuous Tense and the Simple Past Tense. 2002 2005 2008 Past Present Future Teach the usage of the Simple Past Tense. ① Subject + was +… Subject +were+… ② Subject +v (p.) +… Teach how to form the simple past tense to regular verbs and irregular verbs.
