  1. What Is Creativity?
Samples
“Being creative” means one can think of things that others cannot. “Being creative” means one can solve problems in a simple and original way. “Being creative” means one can think and do things in an unusual way.
Being creative is not limited to scientists or artists. Actually, ordinary people also do creative work in their lives. It is carried on all the time by amateur inventors who find new and more convenient ways of doing everyday things. For example, the paper clip was invented by a man who kept losing his paperwork. Thanks to his own invention, he’s now very well organized.

  1) Sometimes I think creativity depends more on nature than on nurture. Most of us get the same education, yet we do not have the same level of creativity. I’d say some are really creative and others are not creative at all. How can we account for this phenomenon? Only nature is the answer. The same rule applies to the relationship between intelligence and creativity. People who are creative in everyday life may not have high intelligence.
  2) Children should be brought up in a pleasant and democratic atmosphere and be treated as equals in the family. Parents should encourage them to ask “whys” about things around them, and provide them with chances to solve problems by themselves. When they are in school, they should have the freedom to study or learn according to their own interests besides the basics of knowledge and skills. For example, if a child doesn’t like to play musical instruments, he should never be taken to the weekend classes of that kind. In addition, children’s ideas should be respected, no matter how simple or ridiculous they seem to be. In short, when they keep paying attention to this, parents can find different ways to encourage and develop children’s creativity.
