I. Brainstorming New Words The past several decades has witnessed great changes in various fields, particularly in the field of science and technology. With such new inventions and discoveries, a sea of new words have come into being. Now would you like to think out any word or phrase describing something that have emerged in recent years with the improvement of science and technology, say, e-mail, surfing the net, search engine, cell phone, etc.?

Step One Choose one subject and make a list of at least 6 questions you want to ask. Step Two Interview at least 6 of your classmates and write down their answers to your questions. Step Three Prepare a report based on the results of your opinion poll. You may use the Newsweek poll as a model. Step Four Present your report to the whole class.
