众所周知,英语是当今世界上最流行的语言.随着全球化的不断发展,英语 在国际交流中所发挥的作用越来越重要.世界贸易组织的加入和2008年申奥成功, 更加促进了英语学习在中国的普及与发展.然而,教学观察发现:学生在口语学 习方面大多经历了一个从火热到冰冷的过程.初学时,多数同学对口语都十分感 兴趣,但随着时间的推移,便慢慢地失去了兴趣,在课下甚至在课堂上也不再开 口练习英语了.其转变的原因既有英语教学方法的问题,也有学习环境的问题, 导致学生们在课堂上得不到足够的时间合作练习与交流,课外也缺少真正的交际 环境.这就要求教师不断探求新的学习方法,以帮助学生提高英语口语能力.此 外,随着科学技术的发展,英语教师越来越多地面临着如何将新技术融入英语口 语教学以提高大学生英语口语能力的挑战.因此,本论文通过理论和教学实践验 证,对英语口语课中计算机辅助合作教学的作用进行了探讨,证明计算机辅助合 作学习确实是提高大学生英语口语能力的一种实用而且有效的方式. 基于此,本文在2006年9月至2007年1月选取非英语专业本科两个班进行 了关于口语课中利用计算机辅助合作教学的实验.该实验提出了关于口语课中利 用计算机辅助合作教学的如下假设:
  1.通过计算机辅助合作教学,学生的口语水平有所提高.
  2.计算机辅助合作环境下,学生将进行真正的口语交际.
  3.计算机辅助合作环境下,学生将获得更多更好的口语输出.
  4.计算机辅助合作环境下,学生更积极主动地练习口语.
  5.计算机辅助合作环境下,口语课堂更能体现出以学生为中心的主旨. 该研究使用了考试成绩分析数据,问卷调查,采访等研究工具.研究结果表 明,实验班和控制班的口语成绩有显著差异.这表明利用计算机辅助合作教学有 助于提高学生的口语能力.研究发现,在提高学生口语能力的同时,用计算机辅 助合作教学还有助于推进学生的自主学习,增强学生的自信心,提高学生练习口 语的兴趣.问卷调查和采访的结果显示,计算机辅助教学,更体现了以学生为中 心口语课堂,使学生与学生的合作更为积极.在此基础上,本文尝试着对口语课 以及进一步的研究提出了一些建议.
