摘要
随着经济全球化,尤其是我国加入世界贸易组织以后,我国与其他国家和地 区的商贸活动日益频繁,对商务人员的从业要求也越来越高,不仅要求其具有较 强的专业知识背景,同时也要求其具备一定的外语沟通能力。在这一社会背景下, 商务英语教学成为大专院校英语教学的重要组成部分。 文章借鉴国内外先进教学, 探讨了商务英语在中国的几种推广方式:(
  1)国家重视商务英语的推广,从教育普 及到人才培训让商务英语深入到工作、学习和生活当中;(
  2)阐述商务英语在校园 中的推广,分别从教与学的角度诠释商务英语的内涵及重要性,夯实基础,达到 教学相长的效果;(
  3)从社会的角度借助媒介的力量,宣传商务英语,开展相应的 活动,从多个角度激发学生的潜能、提高工作人员的能力;(
  4)商务英语在涉外企 业中的推广,我们从中不仅可以提高英语能力,还可以从中学会西方人的经营方 式和管理模式,从而受益匪浅;(
  5)以及谈到在跨文化中推广商务英语需要注意的 细节问题。研究商务英语的推广方式旨在提高教学的实用性和趣味性,激发学生 学习的积极性和主动性,实现商务英语教学服务社会的目标。 关键词: 关键词:商务英语 国家 校园 社会媒介 推广
Abstract
With the economic globalization and China’s entry into the World Trade Organization, China’s business activities with other different countries and regions are becoming more and more robust, which has set higher requirements for people who work in business. They are required to be both professional in their fields of work and proficient in international business communication. As a result, teaching Business English has become an important part of English teaching at universities. This paper reference for advanced teaching method home and abroad, and discuss popularization
of Business English in China: firstly, it analyzes our country’s effort to extend Business English extensively as well as improving the level throughout the society; secondly, it analyzes from the perspective of both teaching and studying, Business English will be disseminated in campus, and everybody may benefit from it; thirdly, it analyzes Business English will flourish through our daily life while drawing support of mediums, journals, websites, TV programs and so on; fourthly, it analyzes magnanimous emergence of joint ventures provides us a great chance to acquire not only Business English, but also their management style, operation type, lifestyle and so on; lastly, it analyzes some details about cross-cultures that we should emphasis on. The thesis analyzes popularization way of Business English in China, aiming to improve the practical value of the course and engage students in active learning, and achieve the target of serving the society. Popularization way of Business English in China
Chapter 1 Introduction
Contemporarily, Business English enjoys an increasing popularity amount us, especially to college students and the staff whose job relate to import and export. As in China, our non-native English speakers study Business English with the goal of doing Business with other English-speaking countries, or with companies that are located in non-native English-speaking areas , using English as a shared second language. As China entered WTO, traditional English teaching from vocabulary to reading could not satisfy the social developing trend. Professional business letters, such as letters of inquiry, request, application, complaint, apology and letters, memos and simple reports emerge in our life, especially in the foreign trade companies. Now, with increasing globalization of economic development, we have to improve the quality of our own in English. Business English consists of three elements: business background, language that are used in the business background and communication skills in business. The knowledge of Business background and the amount of share in the course largely depends on the nature and degree of specialization learners. Business background determines communication skills and linguistic ability. Business Communication activities are engaged in the requisite skills, including both linguistic and non-linguistic. Business background in the language relate to vocabulary, sentence patterns, text, voice, intonation and other capabilities. Specific scenarios in the language used by their business background, content and communication skills and decision. Business Content is decisively to the choice of vocabulary; and communication skills will determine the choice of sentence, discourse structure, style, tone, rhythm changes and so on.
Currently, Business English flourishes in our country, from Ministry of Education to an simple English club, spreading Business English can be seen everywhere. As an tool which is indispensable during the international trade, our country, campus, joint ventures, social medias hold the chief responsibility on it. Therefore we can improve the capacity of speech and language ability, which also includes the ability to live and survive. Standard Business English at abroad is used as a tool to choose a non-native English-speaker, moreover standard staff is now a necessary condition for international enterprises. Meanwhile the Western concept of enterprise management, work psychology, and even how to deal with foreigners, how to work with them, the forms and methods, and their living habits and so on could also belong to the content areas of business English. Teamwork, career development, internal communication, work environment, corporate culture and so on may stimulate the staff to improve the ability of Business English. Presentation, corporate culture action provide chances for staff to show their level or some intangible company culture, which benefit both corporate and staff profoundly. In campus, some competitive after class actions also provide a stage to the university students to display their not only language, but also their communication skills, teamwork spirit and so on. In short, spreading business English should be given timely response, form our country to our personal. In this way, we are qualified to meet the needs of 21st century, innovative, international-type, complex type of business English talent to trade integration in the global economy .

Chapter 2 Promotion of Business English in China
In China, Business English has become an important discipline at college and university, due to the rapid development of economy and an increasing demand for people who are both professional in their fields of work and proficient in international business communication. For this, Business English embraces a range of courses covering the areas of linguistics, psychology, sociology, economics, management and laws. Therefore, it has developed into a widely applied branch of learning.

  2.1 Ministry of Education’s Encouragement
Reform and opening policy proudly changed academic system , especially after the accession to WTO, more and more obvious features of economic integration, international business activities have become increasing frequent. As the result of this, the language which is used for communicating with others enjoys a great popularity among us. The rapid development of world economy and globalization have become increasingly prominent, the demand have a diversified trend as well. Strong business English proficiency of high-quality personnel is increasingly becoming the urgent economic and social development needs. In this environment, mastering English language with both commercial skills and the knowledge of international trade have become the top priority. Facing the new situation and challenges, Ministry of Education claim that the university should offer more talents who is in keeping with times and adjusting to the international trade changes in the community.

  1.1 Definition of Business English
Business English is most often seen as a branch of English for Specific Purposes(ESP)because “it shares the important elements of needs analysis, syllabus

design, course design, and materials selection and development which are common to all fields of work in ESP”. Business English can be further divided into two main types according to whether the learner requires English for Academic Purposes or for Occupational Purposes. The needs of students following an MBA course will differ vastly from the needs of those who follow vocational courses in secretarial training. Due to the different needs of learners, there are many varieties of Business English, English for Economics or English for Secretaries. From the ESP perspective, Business English should properly be seen not as a particular language product but as an approach to language teaching in which learners’ needs take priority. In China, Business English has become an important discipline at college and university, due to the rapid development of economy and an increasing demand for people who are both professional in their fields of work and proficient in international business communication. For this, Business English embraces a range of courses covering the areas of linguistics, psychology, sociology, economics, management and laws. Therefore, it has developed into a widely applied branch of learning.

  1.2 Extending from National Program May 7th, 2002 the State Council bring forward “put efforts to build high-quality, community-oriented professional and technical talents” in 2002 - 2005 National Program for qualified personnel. The State Council's “Talent Development Program” that read: “To pay close attention to train the talents who has a good command on the World Trade Organization rules.” Senior business talents belong to this sort of talents. Previously, English(Business English oriented) be seem as a major in university, however, Business English replaced its original name, which illustrates Ministry of Education attach importance to it proudly. The traditional English teaching lays great emphasis on specializing a variety of theoretical courses, and students are asked to enter the professional theory study too early, resulting in a narrow range of knowledge, single discipline, application weak, and poor adaptability. To cultivate the professional talents who is proficient in World Trade Organization rules, using traditional culture training

methods does not work. As the result of this, Ministry of Education explore the diverse system and means of language training.
